We have all experienced that sinking feeling when we realize we didn’t hit “yes” to save when closing a Word document. Now, with Office 2010 you can easily find and recover those unsaved files if, and this is a big if, you have the Autosave function enabled and the document you were working on had been open for a minimum of 10 minutes. Here’s how this works:
1) Go to the File tab and click on Recent. A list of all your recent documents will appear.
2) At the bottom of your screen, click on the Recover Unsaved Documents button.
3) A box will open showing the unsaved document you last worked on.
4) Open and SAVE your document.
