Not all apps for business are created equal. The Application Resource Center (ARC) from Applause released a list of the best mobile applications for business based on almost 12 million reviews by iOS and Android users. Ranked on a scale from 1 to 100, the list was divided into five categories: Communicate – messaging, language learning & translation; Organize – calendaring & note taking; Work – productivity; Secure – security & protection; and Forecast – weather forecasting. Here are the three business apps that earned the highest user scores:
ColorNote (user score of 93.3)
ColorNote allows users to create color-coded text notes and checklists on the fly. Notes can be organized by color and the sticky note widget can put your notes and checklists on your home screen for easy review. You can organize your notes in your calendar, create reminder notes on your status bar, and share your notes via SMS, email or Twitter. ColorNote is free in the Google Play Store or iTunes.
360 Security (user score of 89.5)
360 Security is a free security protection and speed booster app. It optimizes your background apps, memory space, junk files and battery power while keeping your device safe from trojans and viruses. 360 security is free in the Google Play Store or iTunes.
Duolingo (user score of 88.5)
Apple’s iPhone App of the Year, Duolingo teaches users to speak new languages. Divided into bite-sized lessons, users can earn points for correct answers, race against a clock and “level up” when they successfully complete each “game”. Users can learn Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and more for free. Duolingo is available for free through iTunes and the Google Play Store.
