If you are an iPhone user, you really should update to iOS 11 if you haven’t already. iOS 11 has a number of important security features you will want to take advantage of.
The first new update allows users to limit app location tracking to all the time, just when you are using an app, or never. To set this limit, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and choose how much you wish to share your GPS information via your apps.
You can also set up pop-up blockers, prevent cross-site tracking, and disable website tracking in Safari, preventing advertisers from tracking you as you browse the web.
Worried you might be forced to used Face ID to unlock your phone by law enforcement? With iOS 11, you can disable Face ID by simply squeezing the phone.
